Home Repair Loans
WCCA can arrange several types of major home repair loans. Several of these programs are community based and others are operated throughout Wright County.
In all loan programs, income eligible Wright County homeowners are served on a first come, first served basis. The purpose of major home repair program loans is to maintain low cost housing in a condition which is safe, healthy, energy efficient and accessible. Homeowners must be current on their property taxes, the primary residence and must meet income and asset limits. With help from WCCA, homeowners determine the scope of major repair work that is needed and select their own contractors. All repair work is inspected and approved by WCCA and the homeowner.
Some homeowners qualify for a deferred no or low interest home improvement loan. Generally, deferred loans are not repaid until the homeowner sells, transfers or ceases to live in the home following improvements.
