Senior Assisted Transportation

WCCA’s Aging Alliance is here to help seniors ages 60 years and up to live independently. Volunteers provide rides to eligible-destinations on a cost-share sliding fee scale.

Need a Ride? Donate to WCCA

Wright County Community Action has launched services specifically for seniors! The Assisted Transportation program provides rides for seniors (60 years and older) who need assistance getting to medical appointments, pharmacy pick-ups, nutrition needs, personal care appointments and faith-based social outings. This service is provided by trained volunteer drivers with their own personal vehicles.

General intake and ride appointments are coordinated through the WCCA Dispatcher and clients are quickly paired with a volunteer driver. Please allow at least 48 hours of advanced notice to schedule rides. Rides are currently being provided for Wright County residents only. For more information please call (320) 963-6500 ext. 241.

To help sustain WCCA’s services for a growing aging population and to comply with grant funders requirements (Central Minnesota Council on Aging), individuals participating in the assisted transportation program will be asked to share in the cost of the service, or a portion of the cost, based on ability to pay.

These cost sharing fees will be based on the person’s gross income and household size using a cost share sliding scale. This will be a suggested contribution. Riders who are unable or unwilling to pay will not be denied services. For example, single person 60 years or older, with monthly household income of $1006-$1508 would be invoiced $6.82 per round trip ride.

All contributions in the assisted transportation program, allow us to serve more Wright County senior residents
