Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a supplemental food, nutrition and breastfeeding program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, babies and children up to the age of 5.
WIC is a supplemental food, nutrition and breastfeeding program that helps eligible pregnant women, new mothers, babies, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition and stay healthy.
WIC income guidelines allow many working families and students to qualify for the program. WIC provides healthy food such as fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, yogurt, cheese, soy foods, whole grains (cereal, tortillas, pasta, bread, oatmeal, and rice), infant foods, formula and extra foods for breastfeeding moms.
The caring staff provides nutrition assessment, nutrition education, counseling, breastfeeding information and referrals to healthcare or other needed community service’s at no cost.
