Overview

MNsure-certified Navigators are trained experts who provide free health insurance assistance and enrollment at trusted agencies. Navigators specialize in helping people apply and enroll in Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare, which are free and low-cost healthcare programs for people with low incomes.

For Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare, our Navigators can help you:

  • Fill out your application
  • Enroll in health insurance
  • Renew your health insurance
  • Report life changes
  • Connect with an insurance broker if you need advice about choosing a private health plan

Seasonal Availability:

Our program does not employ full-time MNsure Navigators. Our team works hard to return calls promptly; however, we cannot guarantee that calls will be returned within a timeframe that meets your expectations. The time of the year plays a role in the expected callback time. If the timeframes quoted below do not meet your needs, we encourage you to contact a broker agency.

  • January – May: WCCA’s MNsure Navigators also support the Tax Assistance program. MNsure services are minimal. Calls will be returned in the following timeframes:
    • State programs: 5-8 business days
    • Private Insurance: Our team will not return QHP calls received during this time frame
  • June – October:
    Calls will be returned in the following timeframes:
    • State programs: 4-5 business days
    • Private Insurance: Our team will not return QHP calls received during this time frame
  • November – December: QHP Open Enrollment
    Calls will be returned in the following timeframes:
    • State programs: 2-3 business days
    • Private Insurance: Our team will schedule a 1-hour appointment. Missed appointments will need to be rescheduled, and we cannot guarantee that there will be availability before the end of the enrollment period. Once the open appointments have been filled, we will not return any additional calls.
